Conference 6 – „How to get power in the state?” [Report]

Last weekend, February 17-19, 2023, Christians from Poland and Ukraine met at the sixth congress of the Polish-Ukrainian Bible Institute in Lublin. We dealt with the topic: „How to gain power in the state?”. The lectures were delivered by Pastor Pawel Chojecki.

The sixth congress of the Polish-Ukrainian Bible Institute in Lublin began already on Friday, November 17 with the „Carnival of Freedom” ball. The ball was associated with the recently launched „Going for Freedom” project. The purpose of the group is to promote the idea of freedom and start the discussions on how this idea can translate into our activities and state policies. The main forum „We go for freedom” is the Facebook platform (the link to the group is here)

Saturday, February 18, was a lecture day on the topic „How to get power in the State?”. This issue was considered in terms of and in the context of the Bible, both the books of the Old and New Testaments. Each lecture was followed by a session of exercises. Institute participants looked at biblical figures who played a significant role in the politics of the time, analyzed the main vectors of the church’s influence on politics, and explored examples of preaching the Gospel in a political context. They also emphasized that the history of each nation is part of God’s plan, and that God works uniquely in the history of each nation.

The event was led by Pawel Chojecki, pastor of the New Covenant Church in Lublin and co-founder of the Polish-Ukrainian Bible Institute in Lublin. Pawel Chojecki is also the founder and editor-in-chief of the Internet TV, monthly magazine „Go Against the Tide” and also the publishing house “Against the Tide”.

Lectures from the sixth convention are on the YouTube channel of the Polish-Ukrainian Ukrainian Bible Institute.

The Polish-Ukrainian Bible Institute in Lublin is the first project of its kind in our country. The main goal of the Institute is to integrate biblical Christians from Ukraine and Poland to jointly carry out evangelization and church projects, as well as to exchange experiences of working for Jesus in the Ukrainian and Polish nations, learn from each other and pray together for the future of our nations. The institute works in the rhythm of ten monthly conferences.

The lecturers are pastors, professors and Christian leaders coming from various evangelical churches and organizations.
